HR Focus launched in Summer 2008 and, since this time, have worked with a variety of clients on a range of issues too vast to mention!
Our clients include:
- Start-up businesses
We work with businesses who want to get things right from the start. Involving HR at the set up stage means that you don’t overlook issues which could become a problem at a later date such as issuing correct and effective contracts of employment, implementing effective pay procedures and setting up a legally compliant filing system and/or people database. - Growing businesses
We work with businesses who are expanding and who are finding that their original, more casual approach to people management is no longer effective or appropriate. We can help review and assess the business needs and implement more structure to your people management through the use of effective polices, documentation and record keeping and work with you to align your people strategy to your business strategy. - Established small to medium sized businesses
We work with established and successful businesses who aren’t large enough to have their own dedicated HR team but who want to ensure that they get the most out of their people without falling foul of tricky employment laws. We act as your own HR department and are available when you need us, without you having to pay out for a regular monthly HR salary. - Larger businesses
We work with larger organisations who have their own HR team but who require more specialist advice and support or who don’t have the time or resources to carry out specific tasks or project work. We can also help you recruit your own permanent HR team if you’re not sure what you actually need.
OUR TEAM
HR Focus is a small consultancy based near Milton Keynes, covering Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and London.
Our Lead Consultant is Louise Ford. Louise has over fifteen years of experience in the HR arena working across a range of industries from Retail and Leisure to Financial Services to Media with a lot more in between. Louise completed an honours degree in Law in 2000, before achieving a commendation in her Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2003 where she specialised in Employment Law and Business Law. She enjoys the challenge of HR consultancy and loves the fact that no two days are the same.
Louise has extensive experience in HR, in particular managing complex disciplinary and grievance cases, leading reorganisations and redundancies and managing TUPE transfers. She prides herself on working hard to understand a client’s business needs and finding an appropriate and proactive solution to any people challenge they face.
